  • Know the timing: Generally, the newborn used to poop 7-8 times in a day, sometimes it can be extended to 15 times daily. It is quite a normal business for them. So, it will be better to keep checking whenever you feel to avoid a mess. If you find the foul smell, then prepare mentally, it is the time.
  • Take Full Preparation: If you want to clean with lukewarm water and cotton, then make arrangement for it. Now make a bowl of water, the packet of the cotton, dustbin to dispose of soiled cotton and diaper, towel and a fresh diaper.
  • Prepare the field: Now select a good location for a diaper change. The height of the place should be above than your waist so that you don’t need to bend much. Spread the diaper mat on it and then lay down the baby.
  • Start the opening part: If your baby is wearing pant style Cuddles diaper then you can easily tear down both the sides and open the front. For the taped diaper, just remove the tape to start the process. Now carefully remove the diaper without making any mess. For that, hold the legs of your baby upward so that she may not hit the soiled diaper with her feet.
  • Wipe the area: Clean the area properly with damp cotton. If you have a baby girl, always wipe from front to back to avoid the chances of infection. In case you have a boy, cover the area with a cloth to avoid the spraying of urine on your face during the changing session.
  • Disposal of the diaper: Cover the soiled diaper properly to protect the family from bacterial contamination. Now throw it in the hands – free covered dustbin after flushing down the feces.
  • Change to New Diaper: After wiping, dry the area with the towel. Now it’s time to wear a fresh diaper.
  • Sanitization: Always wash and sanitize both yours and your baby’s hand to keep the germs at bay.
